Encountering Jesus Christ, the Healer of a Broken World
Has there ever been a time where we have been more aware of the world's brokenness, and perhaps our own? Between the pandemic, the politics, the brokenness of families, the acceleration of mental health problems, and the brokenness of the church itself, we need to recall Jesus Christ. In particular, we need to encounter Jesus Christ the Healer, because the healed people of God share the good news. This talk shares my testimony, and compares the current age's need to the need of those in the Gospels...and how the healed were consistently the first evangelists.
Jesus Christ the Divine Physician
Does Jesus Christ heal today--or is that something he did back then for show? When I was 27, and finishing my PhD in Theology, I was shocked to become seriously and chronically ill. I read a lot of books and thought I knew Christ. He decided to prove me I didn't.
