I'm a philosophy student completing her doctorate at the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce. In a word, I study compassion.
In many words, I think the world needs more people who reach out to help others out of a mess, and I'm pretty curious about how our emotions, thoughts, will and action help or hinder us from doing so. I'm also curious about how compassion makes us more human--and I'm convinced that it's important, because really, God was compassionate to us first.
I think there's a lot about our hearts that we don't understand, and I think if we think we're all heads we're missing out on something important!
Before all this I was teaching English literature and grammar, Religion, and Philosophy--and after this I'll probably go back to that in one way or another. What I like to do most is help others understand themselves and grow. And I think it's a downright gift from God if I manage to help people grow in faith.
If you're interested in what I've been thinking and researching on, send me an email. But more importantly, make the most out of this conference--because really, there's nothing greater than the love of Christ.
